We reimagined Netflix’s Rebel Moon universe through the lens of music.

Netflix was looking to maintain momentum and build fandoms between the first and second film of their new Zack Snyder franchise, Rebel Moon, by introducing an EP.

Our challenge was to build a comprehensive campaign that appealed to both music enthusiasts and franchise fans and connect back to the franchise in a meaningful way, even though the music itself would not appear in either film.

To do so, we tapped into the the inherent power of music to transcend boundaries and inspire a new world of possibility.

We created a sonic universe rooted in the rebellious spirit of the films to create custom content including a hero music video, social and digital assets, and launch event at Knockdown Center in Brooklyn featuring live performances by Tokimonsta, Jessie Reyez, and Black Coffee.

Our Approach

We reframed the project from a EP that supports the film to a concept album that could be as impactful as the film itself, creating a new entry point for fans into the wider universe.
